Company

Swift Call is a wholly owned subsiduary of Rubik Financial Ltd. (ASX: RFL)

Swift Call was established in 1989, initially developing systems for automated booking capture for the Courier and Taxi industry. Since then the company has grown to be a leading developer of Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Internet, SMS and Touch Screen Kiosk systems across a diverse range of business applications using this technology.

Over the years we have witnessed a dramatic increase in the use of IVR systems, and their value to our users is now well proven. By combining our unique experiences and personal insights into the applications of the technology we have ensured that our customers get real value for their investment and, in turn, a strong and enthusiastic reception from their clients.

There have been many companies offering IVR and Internet based systems, but few who could deliver the operational performance, functionality and seamless business integration that we offer. The company's staff of professional engineers and programmers understand intimately the core IVR, Internet technology, the host computer systems and network environments in which these systems need to operate.

In particular, since 1993, Swift Call has built an enviable reputation in eBanking with our smart front-end Internet Banking and call processing systems. Now over 200 of Australia's leading banking institutions use our IVR systems including about 30 Financial Institutions in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Singapore. In fact, almost every Credit Union and Building Society (and several Banks) in Australia and New Zealand now use our systems for their Telephone Banking services alone.

Working with our customers in the financial sector gave us the opportunity to use our skills to develop other systems. Of special note, Swift Call has introduced inetBank, our own Java driven Internet Banking system. inetBank has been designed to offer a low-cost, high performance, high security service that Financial Institutions of any size can implement immediately. As a result we can now proudly say that there are about 100 financial institutions using our Internet Banking solution. Of particular note is Swift's developments in Internet Security with the company's unique Factor2 "Personal Icons" system being taken up by over 60 financial institutions in the region over the last 4 years.

Other capabilities in this area include our Touch! enquiry Kiosks and SMS Messaging solutions, which form a broad and integrated approach to self-service banking solutions. As a result they are now widely implemented throughout this industry as it strives to improve and expand its customer services.

Of course we haven't stopped there! Reflecting the expansion of our developments into other areas Swift has now established three distinct business divisions to provide focussed services to our customers, covering:

  • eBanking
  • Clinical Trials
  • Hosted IVR and Web Services

Clinitec, our dedicated Clinical Trials Division is now a significant service provider in our region. Our suite of IVRS and IWRS based services provides Patient Randomisation, Drug Supply Management and Patient Diaries for Phase II and III Clinical Trials around the globe, hosted from systems in Australia.

Unsurpassed Development & Support

Small Business Awards

The efforts of our company and its staff have been focussed on having not just the best technology, but also the most responsive service possible - understanding that our customers, no matter where they are located, need to have systems that work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our efforts were recently recognised when Swift Call was selected as Finalist in the Telstra & Australian Government Small Business Awards in two categories: Ausindustry Innovation Award and the 3COM Business Owners Award.

World's Best Technology

The company's products are built around industry-standard hardware and software building blocks using our own proprietary applications and software libraries.

For secure user authentication we have teamed with VASCO, who supply passcode generating tokens. We are able to leverage off VASCO's experience with 300+ banking customers and 10 million deployed tokens.

All our IVR systems are built using Aculab and Dialogic telephony cards for in-bound and out-bound telephone call interaction and fax-on-demand services. As a result we can inexpensively source leading edge equipment from the world's pre-eminent manufacturers of telephony products, leveraging our development efforts off their very substantial investment in ongoing research.

Swift Call's Touch! enquiry kiosks use MicroTouch technology on either LCD or CRT based displays. MicroTouch technology is unsurpassed in glass capacitive touch screens; we combine this with our WinNT based applications software and a selection of kiosk forms from Abuzz Technologies to give our systems' users the best possible presentation and maximum functionality.

Strong Business Relationships

In the banking area Swift works with leading core banking system suppliers such as Fiserv, FNS, Lynx, Phoenix and Ultradata. This is backed up with our relationships with other third party organisations such as BPAY, Travelex, QM Technologies and others who support the local banking industry.

In the Taxi and Courier markets our systems operate with Raywood Communications (A pioneer in wireless dispatch solutions, GPS vehicle location systems and in-vehicle security systems for the transport and logistics industry).

Commsecure's Credit Card payment processing facility allows our IVR users to pay for a range of services using their Credit Cards, and by Customer initiated Direct Debit through a secure payment gateway to most banks.
