The ClinCall Drug Supply Management service allows system users to manage the ordering and distribution of the study treatment supplies from anywhere
in the world through the convenience of their web browser or through IVRS.
The process of managing drug supply encompasses both distribution management and inventory
ordering and forecasting.
A trial starts with a minimum quantity of the required drugs and the system automatically re-supplies only the sites
that are enrolling patients based on actual demand. Using "Just-in-time" techniques, with real-time feedback from
randomisation, the system can help achieve substantial cost savings by reducing drug supply wastage and distribution costs.
Swift Call's service assists through the following key functions:
- Calculates the initial shipment needs, allowing the Sponsor to minimise the distribution of drugs across sites.
- Forecasts the demand to enable just-in-time delivery to satisfy the needs of newly recruited patients and also to meet scheduled re-supplies of patients throughout the trial.
- Provides real-time management of despatched drug stocks in transit and at the site.
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date drug inventory and pack expiry information.
