New Zealand Credit Union's take up Swift Factor2 Authentication Service

21 New Zealand Credit Unions operating under the auspices of the New Zealand Association of Credit Unions (NZACU), and using Swift's inetBank system, have now added the Swift Factor2 Two-Factor Authentication Service to secure all member logins. The Credit Unions were becoming concerned about the prevalence of local phishing scams and the potential for fraud through attacks on members via spyware and they wanted to take early action to secure their members accounts. Members will use the Factor2 Personal Icons system but the Credit Unions will also have the option of offering one-time passcode Tokens at any time for selected members if required.


Swift Call - inetBank Online with Ultracs

Swift Call has successfully migrated its first Internet Banking systems to operate with the Ultradata core banking platform. This event is the culmination of a development project that took place in conjunction with Ultradata over the preceeding months. The development of a standardised interface between Swift's inetBank system and the Ultracs solution will allow Credit Unions to seamlessly migrate to Ultracs (from Corvis or other core banking systems) and to take advantage of Swift's full product offering. This includes all common functionality but importantly Swift's Factor2 two-factor Authentication facility, and added value services like BPAY View, SMS, Travelex, Secure Messaging, and Business Banking.


Swift Call BPay View Service Certified

Swift Call's centralised hosted BPay View service has received certification for its first Credit Union customer. BPay View is an electronic Bill Presentment facility that allows billers such as Utilities, Councils and Telcos to eliminate their regular paper bills. The new service is designed to provide a shared infrastructure for financial institutions across Australia to allow them to offer the BPay View service as part of their Internet Banking facilities at the lowest possible cost.


DataAction Credit Unions take up Swift teleBank

Credit Unions operating on the Phoenix core banking platform provided by DataAction selected the Swift Call teleBank Telephone Banking Solution for their new hosted IVR services. Swift Call has provided the infrastructure for CPS (SA), Satisfac, PowerState and Fire Fighters Credit Unions under a hosting arrangement with all equipment and software supplied and operated by Swift, using DataAction's professional hosting services.


Swift Call's Centralised Two-Factor Authentication Service Launched

A centralised and fully hosted Two-Factor Authentication Service has been established by Swift Call using its Factor2 technology. This service has been designed to make it economical for financial institutions to offer two-factor authentication to their customers without the cost of setting up their own infrastructure. The Service offers participating organisations the option of using the Swift Call Personal Icons Software solution and/or GO3 Tokens as their second factor. What's more this service will operate through any vendors Internet Banking package. (Update June 07 - The service is now in operation with 56 Credit Unions, Building Societies and Banks across Australia and New Zealand.)


Bank South Pacific (BSP) selects Swift for Internet & Telephone Banking

Bank South Pacific (BSP) has selected the Swift Call teleBank Telephone Banking Solution and inetBank Internet Banking system for its new services. Implemented as part of a much broader update plan encompassing the ATM and EFTPOS network, these new services will allow BSP to offer a range of new services to its expanding customer base and simplify its internal administration procedures.

Adelaide Bank takes up Swift teleBank IVR

Adelaide Bank went live with its new teleBank implementation from Swift Call. Selected after an exhaustive tender process the new service provides improved functionality, greater capacity and the ability to handle multiple "brands" associated with the bank's wholesale banking services.
