Store Locator - by Telephone

Telephone Service Locator

When promoting your business you will need to publish a special contact telephone number. When your customers call the telephone Locator Service they will be asked to enter their postcode using the buttons on their telephone handset. The Locator Service uses an accurate database of geographic centres of each postcode area to compute the nearest store locations to your customer.

Your customers are typically told the nearest three towns/suburbs where your outlets are located. They can then select any of those offered to get further details.

The "Nearest" telephone based Locator Service uses Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology to handle the telephone calls, prompting your customers for their postcode and speaking the store information. The information spoken by the system and options provided will depend upon your business requirements.

Setup Options

Swift Call offers two system implementation options to provide location services as part of your store and product promotional strategies:

  • A centrally managed IVR Locator Service hosted by Swift Call
  • A stand-alone IVR System installed at your premises.

By using a hosted service you pay a fee based on your customers' use of the service. In many instances this is the most appropriate way to quickly and inexpensively setup a service locator.

Alternatively, you can establish a stand-alone IVR system installed in your own premises operating in conjunction with your local PABX and call-centre.
